“Crew showed up on schedule and worked quickly to move us out of our 3rd-floor apartment without a hitch. We will definitely use Proton Moving Company for any future moves.”
Proton Moving Company
Whether it’s a craftsman bungalow near Old Town or a haul out to Las Vegas on the 15, the crew on your truck draws a paycheck from us, drives a truck we own, and works off a number our office wrote down before moving day ever arrived.
- Book off one number — nothing new shows up at the curb
- Six trucks, sixteen people, all on our payroll, none of it subbed out
- 10 years licensed and insured, dispatching out of Pasadena itself
One Figure, Not A Range
We walk the place — room by room or camera by camera — and hand back a single number before anyone touches a box, so what’s due at the curb matches what got signed.

Prefer us on the porch or a video call instead? Either works — we still note every stair, closet, and driveway before writing the number down.

A studio near Caltech, a full craftsman on a foothill street, a long haul out toward Las Vegas — real dollar ranges, no phone call required first.

Move week runs off a dated checklist, not memory, so the attic, the garage, and whatever’s behind the water heater still make the truck.

Two ZIPs And A Date
That’s really the whole intake — where you’re starting, where you’re headed, and roughly how big the place is. Sending it costs nothing.
We Walk The Place
On camera or on the porch, we log the stairs, the piano, and whichever hillside Altadena or La Canada Flintridge driveway the truck genuinely can’t back into.
Tell Us What Else Is Involved
Packing, a month of storage while escrow drags, a safe that needs four hands — say so now and it’s written into the same page before day one.
You Get It In Writing
The number that lands in your inbox is the number you sign on move morning — nobody revises it once the truck is en route.
Our Crew Rolls In
A background-checked, W-2 crew shows up on one of our own trucks, on the date you picked, red-flag week or not.
Open move-dates across the San Gabriel Valley are booking up fast this month. Get on the calendar ahead of the rush — our dispatcher already builds each day around 210/134 corridor traffic and the wave of Caltech and JPL move-ins that lands every August and January.

- The hourly rate you get quoted covers the truck and the full crew, no separate line items
- Wrap, dollies, floor runners, and furniture pads ride on the truck already
- The same two or three movers who load your place are the ones who unload it
- Nothing extra turns up on the invoice anywhere across the San Gabriel Valley
- The entire haul gets signed off as one number before the truck ever gets loaded
- East on the 10 or 15 puts us in Phoenix or Las Vegas, north on the 5 reaches the Bay Area, Sacramento, or Portland, and south lands in San Diego
- Our own DOT and MC authority runs the whole route — no handoff to some other carrier partway
- Cargo insurance covers the shipment for a full $1M the entire way
- We chase down the elevator reservation and certificate of insurance so your building manager never has to ask twice
- Tight courtyard load-ins and narrow Old Pasadena stairwells don’t slow this crew down
- Caltech-area postdoc and grad leases turn over hard every August and January — we’ve built our whole schedule around it
- Your rate is on paper long before move-in day arrives
- Your business hours set the schedule, not ours
- Every desk, file box, and monitor gets wrapped, tagged, and tracked to the new floor
- Property managers get a certificate of insurance the first time they ask, not the second
- One coordinator owns the job from the first quote to the last chair placed
- We move at the pace that’s comfortable, not the pace that’s fast
- Heirlooms and keepsakes get wrapped like they’re irreplaceable, because plenty of them are
- Assisted-living transitions around San Marino and Arcadia are a regular booking, not a special case
- The flat number is fixed up front, so the family budgeting the move can actually plan

What Pasadena Families Told Us Afterward
Nothing polished up and nothing scrubbed out of the rough ones — just a sample of what San Gabriel Valley customers said once the truck pulled away.
“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Victor and his team truly came to my rescue. I initially contacted another moving company for an interstate move from Pasadena to Las Vegas. The bid came in very high, and I was told there were "additional fees" for interstate moves, making the price much higher than expected. Then, just 3 days before my scheduled move, that company called and tried to more than double the price, leaving me in a total panic. I reached out to Proton Moving Company, and the owner, Victor, responded immediately. He was furious when I told him my story, and calmed me down right away with reassuring words that they would take care of the move at a fraction of the quoted price. All was true. Not only did they accommodate me on such short notice, but they were also transparent, professional, and fair with their pricing — no surprise fees! The crew arrived right on time, very happy to be there and eager to start. They handled my belongings with care and made a stressful move almost seamless. If you are looking for honest, hard-working movers who actually care, look no further. Victor and his team are the absolute best!”
“Shoutout to Andre and Miguel for their outstanding work! They arrived on time, packed everything securely, and even helped rearrange furniture at the new house. These guys truly go above and beyond!”
“Had to move an old upright piano and a dozen packed crates from Altadena to Pasadena, and Proton Moving Company handled the job like it was nothing. Andre and Miguel came fully equipped with dollies, pads, and straps. They communicated every step and made sure the piano was secured properly at each stop. For residents in Altadena needing specialty moves done right, Proton is your best bet.”
“I had the best experience with Proton Moving Company! They were very professional and careful with all my boxes and furniture, loading and unloading. The two movers who brought my things into my new place were careful with everything and put things where I asked. They did an excellent job putting my bed frame and dresser back together. I definitely would use this company again!”
“Second move with Proton Moving Company, and my movers Miguel and Louis were great again — very helpful with an antique bed and unloading everything at the storage unit.”

The Long-Haul Runs Pasadena Movers Book Most
One crew and one truck take it door to door for a single written price, all under our own operating authority — your shipment doesn’t change hands along the way.
What we quote is what you sign.
The Number You Sign Is Set Before Move Day, Not After
No clock runs quietly in the background, no stair or fuel line-item shows up after the fact, and mileage never gets tacked on anywhere in the San Gabriel Valley — whatever our office puts in writing ahead of time is exactly what you sign on move morning. And the people carrying your boxes draw a Proton Moving Company paycheck; nobody was found on a day-labor board that same morning.
- One all-in figure, written down before the first box moves
- Every mover on the Proton Moving Company truck passed a background check and draws a W-2 paycheck
- $1M in cargo coverage on every San Gabriel Valley job, local or long-haul
Faces You Can Look Up Before They Knock

Plenty of folks want a real person standing in their hallway with a clipboard; plenty of others would rather just walk a phone camera through each room on a video call. Both paths land in the same place — a flat number in writing before the call ends or the estimator leaves, zero pressure to sign, and zero cost unless you actually book.

What People Ask Before Booking With Us
Are you an actual moving company, or just a referral service?
An actual one — based in Pasadena, running on our own California PUC Cal-T permit and US DOT/MC numbers for anything long-haul, not forwarding your details to somebody else. We own every truck on the road, every mover on it collects a W-2 paycheck from us, and one crew rides with your shipment start to finish. Your job never gets flipped to an outside carrier, and it’s never resold as a lead.
How is the price actually set?
Somebody walks the inventory first, then one written number comes back — not an hourly meter, and never a surprise line for stairs, fuel, or mileage anywhere in the San Gabriel Valley.
Do wildfire season or red-flag wind days ever shut your moves down?
Almost never. When a September Santa Ana wind puts a hillside street in Altadena or La Canada Flintridge on evacuation watch, our crews are already moving the date up rather than pushing it back, and Victor takes those weeks himself rather than handing them off.
What about specialty items — a piano, a gun safe, that kind of thing?
Covered. Baby grands, uprights, gun safes, and anything else oddly heavy get the correct ramps and rigging, and every crew chief we send has already carried something just like it down a tight Old Pasadena staircase without a scratch to show for it.
Will you move us out of state?
Regularly. East on the 10 and 15 that’s Phoenix or Las Vegas, north on the 5 it’s the Bay Area, Sacramento, or on up to Portland, and south it’s San Diego. Whichever direction, the whole haul prices out as one written figure, and it runs under our own authority from your old driveway to the new one.
When should I actually lock in my date?
Two to three weeks ahead is ideal — weekends, month-end, the August/January Caltech-and-JPL turnover, and Rose Bowl week in December all fill up fast. Already closer than that? Ring us regardless; short-notice openings do turn up now and then.
